Card Fraud Information

ATM Terminal Skimmer Found in Park Ridge, Illinois

Important Fraud Information

A skimming device was found at Park Ridge Community Bank in Park Ridge, IL. At this time the investigation has shown that the skimmer was placed on the terminal on November 28, 2011 and was removed on December 14, 2011.

Notices have been sent to those credit unions that may have had affected cards.

Reported fraud from this incident has been PIN based ATM withdrawals from ATM Terminals in Chicago.

As with any compromise, it is important that each Credit Union:

Review their fraud alerts
Contact members to verify unconfirmed fraud transactions
Verity members who may have used the terminals by quering transactions through their Data Processing system or workstation transaction histories
Use the fraud blocking tools to write rules to stop transactions where know fraud is occuring (Preventative measure)
